Bauhaus New England: Portraits of an Architectural Legacy, A Book Signing with Photographer and Author Mark Römisch

Friends of Modern Architecture (FoMA) warmly invites you to an afternoon celebrating the release of Bauhaus New England: Portraits of an Architectural Legacy by Mark Römisch.

Join us at the Schwann House, graciously hosted by homeowner Janet Miller, for a relaxed gathering in one of New England’s remarkable modernist homes. Mark will speak briefly about his work and the stories behind the book, then take your questions. His photograph of the Schwann House appears in this invitation, and you’ll have the chance to see the home itself.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and Mark will be happy to sign them. Light refreshments will be served.

Mark received an M.A. in German Literature, Communication, and Computer Linguistics from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, and holds a BFA in Acting and Theatre. He has taught German language, literature, and culture at Wellesley College, Northeastern, and at MIT, where he received the Ruth Levitan Teaching Award. He currently teaches at Harvard.

The event is open to all. RSVP is appreciated at fomalincolnWe hope you’ll join us for a delightful afternoon of architecture, photography, and good company.
